How to create your own flashcards. If you’re looking to study for an upcoming exam, memorize key concepts, or reinforce important information, our flashcards make studying smarter and more efficient.
Introduction
Flashcards are one of the most effective ways to memorize information and test your knowledge. StudyFetch lets you automatically generate flashcards from your study materials or create them manually with our intuitive interface.
Accessing Flashcards

On the lefthand side of your Dashboard > click on Flashcards
Method 1: Generate Flashcards from Materials
Step 1: Select Materials Option

Select Create Materials if you want to create flashcards from materials that you’ve already uploaded.
Step 2: Choose Source Materials

Choose Which materials would you like to create from. If you’re not seeing your files there, you may need to create a study set that includes a material. For help with that check out our tutorial on creating a study set.
Step 3: Customize Generation Settings

Enter the number of cards you like to generate
Step 4: Review Generated Flashcards

The flashcards will now automatically be generated based on your chosen material.
Method 2: Create Flashcards Manually
Step 1: Start from Scratch

If you want to manually create your own flashcards, navigate to Flashcards > choose Start from Scratch
Step 2: Add Terms and Definitions

You may proceed to add the term and definitions on the text boxes provided, optionally, you may also add images to each text box. Once you’re done > click + Add Flashcard
Step 3: Build Your Flashcard Set

You may continue adding more flashcards, once you’re done > click Study Now to see your flashcards created

Keep adding cards to your heart’s content and start practicing.
Flashcard Study Tips
Here are some effective ways to use your flashcards:
- Spaced Repetition: Review cards at increasing intervals to improve long-term retention
- Active Recall: Test yourself by viewing the term first, then attempt to recall the definition
- Interleaving: Mix up different types of content rather than focusing on one topic at a time
- Customize Your Cards: Add images, diagrams, or additional context to enhance your learning
